A 5-day Sahara Desert tour from Marrakech is an incredible adventure that usually includes a variety of experiences such as exploring historic cities, riding camels through the dunes, and spending nights in desert camps.

Our driver will pick you up early morning at 08:00 AM departure from Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. You will visit the most iconic sights including:
- Ait Benhaddou: Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, a fortified village (ksar) that has been used as a backdrop for many films.
- Ouarzazate: Stop in this city known as the gateway to the desert, home to the Taourirt Kasbah.
- Skoura Oasis: Visit the oasis and its many kasbahs, including the well-preserved Kasbah Amridil.
- Dades Gorges: Continue to Dades Valley, known for its dramatic landscapes and rock formations, often referred to as “monkey fingers.”
- Todra Gorges: A walk through the impressive Todra Gorges with its towering canyon walls.
Then, continue the journey to the big dunes of the Sahara Desert, Erg Chebbi Dunes. Next, take a camel ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi and enjoy the sunset. Finally, spend the night in a traditional Berber desert camp, enjoy a dinner under the stars, and experience Berber music.

Marrakech - Ait Ben Hadou - Ouarzazate - Skoura - Dades
Discover the Beauty of the Atlas Mountains.
After picking you up from your accommodation in Marrakech, we'll hit the road, headed for the Tizi- N-Tichka pass (2260m) in the High Atlas Mountains. You will get to experience a winding road, beautiful landscapes with different colors, and Berber villages along the way.
Our first stop will be in Ait Barka Village to take beautiful pictures while having breakfast. It’s our starting point to begin the ascent to the highest Atlas Mountains of Morocco, Tizi N Tchka, where will also make a stop.
We'll then continue onto the UNESCO World Heritage-listed, Ait Ben Hadou where you will be guided by a local guide to explain the history of its amazing heritage before the time for lunch.
Then we're off again, continuing via Ouarzazate, the Rose Valley, and Skoura palm grove to the Dades valley and gorges. Here, you'll stay in a typical Moroccan hotel, located in the heart of gorges.
Dades - Groge Todra - Merzouga Sahara Desert

After a delicious Moroccan breakfast, we'll begin the journey along the road of 1000 Kasbahs, driving around and through the colorful Berber villages of the Dades Valley.
In Tineghir, we'll explore its famed beautiful palm groves and Jewish quarter before arriving in the Todra Gorges (Todgha) where you'll have free time to go on a trek along the canyons about 300 m high - a favorite for mountain climbers.
Afterward, we'll continue onto the Erg Chebbi Dunes in the Merzouga Sahara Desert. Upon arrival, you will take a camel ride at sunset to get to the oasis where your camp is located.
Spend the night in the bivouac in Merzouga Sahara Dunes under nomadic tents or outside under shooting stars while playing drums with your camel drivers. It is here where we'll spend the night.
Sahara Desert Sand Dunes Tour
After breakfast, we will make the tour of Erg Chebbi dunes. On our way, we will visit the village of KHAMLIA, a Moroccan Berber village. Where you can learn about local customs, traditions, and enjoy tea with a Berber family. The visit aims to attend their performance on Gnawa Music.
We visit the Oasis of Merzouga which preserves an old system of irrigation, then have free time to have lunch at the local restaurant.
After a local and typical lunch you have the option to do extra activities
Sandboarding: try sandboarding down the dunes. It’s a thrilling activity suitable for all ages and skill levels, allowing you to slide down the soft sands of the Sahara.
Quad Bike ATV and Buggy Tour: Exploring Sahara on quad bikes or Buggy is an exhilarating way to experience the desert landscape and the famous Erg Chebbi dunes.
On the afternoon we change our car with friendly camels to depart in a camel trek to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will spend your night at the Desert Camp and enjoy Berber music, before going for a peaceful night under a camel hair made nomad tente and see the stars.
Sahara Desert - Merzouga - Nkob - Ouarzazate
Camel Riding in the Village of Merzouga
Today you will have to wake up very early in the morning to see what will may be the best sunrise of your life. You will set over the Sand Dunes of Sahara of Erg Chebbi to watch wonderful sunrise. After watching the sunrise you will go down to the Camp for breakfast.
Then you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga. While enjoying morning camel ride you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses.
Once you arrive the village of Merzouga, you will meet the driver again to continue the tour to Ouarzazat via Nkoub Oasis and Daraa valley.
Nkob is the only Moroccan village with more than forty kasbahs. The old part of the village still contains many old impressive kasbahs, all constructed in mud in front of the oasis and the Jbel (mountain) Saghro.
Daraa Valley is located at the south of the Atlas Mountains and it is the largest palm grove in the world, a green corridor 200 kilometers long and 18 wide that runs from Agdz.

Historical and Cultural Highlights of Ouarzazate are Kasbah Taourirt and Atlas Film Studios.
Explore the historic kasbah Taourirt, once the residence of the Glaoui chiefs. It's a labyrinthine complex of mud-brick buildings and narrow alleys, offering insights into traditional Moroccan architecture.
Ouarzazate is known as the "Hollywood of Morocco" due to its film studios. Visit Atlas Film Studios to see where many famous movies and TV series were filmed, including "Gladiator," "Game of Thrones," and "The Mummy."
Then continue the road till the ksbah of Telouet also calls Glaoui palace. Is a Kasbah along the former roud of the caravans from Sahara over the atlas mountains to Marrakech. The Kasbah was the seat of El Glaoui family’s power. Thats why also somtimes called the palace of Glaoui. Back to marrakech after breakfast. Lunch will be in Atlas Moutains. We’ve just returned from a wonderful 5-day Sahara Desert Trip, seeing the beautiful Sahara Desert and Atlas Mountains. Our guide, Zack, was helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating, organising a guide for our walk up to see the gorges in the mountains and making sure we had everything we needed. The camel ride was gentle and, for inexperienced riders, the guides were patient and friendly.

This is extra-wonderful private desert trip. We had seen a lot among the atlas mountains, berber villages and camel ride at the desert and a night at the desert camp. 10 out of 10. 100% recommended. Thank you
