Essaouira, also known as the “Wind City of Africa,” is located about 190 kilometers west of Marrakech. This laid-back coastal town is famous for its fortified medina, vibrant arts scene, fresh seafood, and stunning beaches.
Our driver will pick you up from your accommodations in Marrakech. Aim to leave Marrakech around 8:00 AM to maximize your time in Essaouira. The drive takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours each way.
On your way to Essaouira, consider stopping at one of the argan oil cooperatives. Here, you can learn about the production process and purchase high-quality argan oil products.
Enjoy the picturesque landscapes and take photos of the rolling hills, olive groves, and small villages along the route.
Explore the Medina: Once you arrive, begin your visit by exploring the UNESCO-listed medina. Wander through the narrow streets lined with whitewashed houses, blue shutters, and colorful shops.
Skala de la Ville: Visit the historic ramparts and Skala de la Ville, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and watch the waves crash against the rocks.

Afternoon Departure: Begin your return journey to Marrakech in the late afternoon, around 4:00 PM, to ensure you get back before it gets too late.

At the lucnh time enjoy fresh seafood at one of the many restaurants overlooking the ocean, or try traditional Moroccan dishes in the medina's cafes and eateries.
